The UK Space Design Competition 2013 is open to all UK secondary school students in years 9-13. Teams must consist of between 8 and 12 students, plus a supervising adult, but need not be affiliated with any particular institution. This means that schools, colleges, science clubs, and societies are all free to enter a team, provided that the above criteria are satisfied. All team members must be specified in the initial application.
Applications for the UK Space Design Competition 2013 are now open.
To enter the competition, teams should submit a 3-minute video (*.avi, *.mpeg, *.wmv) which answers the 2013 Request for Proposal with an accompanying registration form (PDF, MS Word). If your team has not entered the UK Space Design Competition before, you may want to have a look at some of the UK Space Design Competition 2012 winning videos for stylistic ideas and inspiration.
Application forms should be uploaded at the same time as your video entry using the Imperial College London File exchange service: https://icseclzt.cc.ic.ac.uk/. Both file names should include your team name (otherwise we won’t know who you are!!).
Follow the instructions on screen to submit your entry and send your files to fiona.larner04@imperial.ac.uk. Please note that the use of the file exchange service will require email verification. DO NOT send entries directly by email to Fiona without using the exchange service – file sizes will be too large to be accepted by the mail server. Any entries submitted this way will not be considered.
The deadline for entries is 16 November 2012. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
