A Lasting Legacy

A Lasting Legacy

If, like us, you believe that education will benefit all our futures, then a gift in your Will can help future generations, even after you’re gone.

Every legacy we receive supports our work encouraging young minds to become interested in science, engineering, business and technology through our unique events.  The excitement we see after days of young students working in teams to designing space settlements base in the future often stems from their realization that there are other young minds that are interested in the same things they are. They learn more than they ever thought they could and become more excited about exploring ideas. As one eleven year old said,  “I never knew I had so many ideas in my head”. Your contribution will live on in the hearts and minds of the next generations through your donation.

Suggested wording for an Unrestricted Gift

It’s the most helpful because it allows us to use your gift wherever the need is greatest. You can leave an unrestricted gift, which can be either residuary or pecuniary, using the words below:

“I give the sum of £ ________(or specify percentage of estate) to the Space Science Engineering Foundation of __________(registered charity number 1142329) for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said Space Science Engineering Foundation for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.”

Suggested wording for a Restricted Gift

You can also specify how or where you’d like your gift to be used by leaving a restricted gift. If you’d like to leave a restricted gift, please contact us to discuss the area of our work you’d specifically like to support, using the contact details on the back page. To leave a restricted gift, use the wording below:

“I give the sum of £ ________(or specify percentage of estate) to the Space Science Engineering Foundation of __________(registered charity number 1142329) for its general purpose and I express the wish but without creating any binding trust that this legacy be used in the (specify_______) areas and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said Space Science Engineering Foundation for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.”
