Bellevistat
Background
Bellevistat is losely named after the French word for “beautiful view”, acknowledging the stunning views of Earth from its location. The name honours a variety of lovely places named “Bellevue”, and represents the Foundation Society’s vision that this tourism hub and on-orbit manufacturing centre will enable a bright future for human habitation of space.
Services
- Education - School for the children of workers living in space, catering for up to 4000 students of all ages
- Fabrication of Residential Amenities - Can fabricate all residential amenities expected within a household
- Tourism Hub - For $1000 per person per night, guests may stay in the luxury accommodation of Bellevistat and enjoy the spectacular views of Earth and the Moon.
- On-orbit Construction - Automated on-orbit construction can occur at this site, although welding must still be carried out during EVA by a trained member of the crew at a cost of $100/metre
