Inflatables Inc.

Inflatables Inc. provides custom spherical and cylindrical inflatable volumes for settlement development, and construction, priced at $2,000 per enclosed m³.
Inflatables Inc. recommends that inflatables are enclosed with a protective layer or shield, to minimise the risk of puncture during long term use.

Sealant Solutions

Sealant Solutions provides airtight coatings for porous surfaces such as rock, superadobe,  and ceramics. These are typically sprayed onto the surface or applied by brush and take 480 hours to dry on average. Priced at $15 per litre, coatings have a density of ~2000 kg/m³ and require a recommended thickness of 0.5mm. These coatings can also be used as a thicker foam to patch holes and defects to maintain a pressure differential of 1atm for 5 days, with an emergency 10L tank priced at $1000.

Earhart Foundry

Foundry provides specialist advanced materials produced on Earth and shipped to LEO via SSTO’s.

Foundry’s most popular space-rated materials for settlement construction are given below, which can be provided in sections up to 2m in their shortest dimension

  • Reinforced Silica Aerogels for improved thermal insulation at $2000 per kg. These have a  density of 0.1 g/cm³ and thermal conductivity of 0.013 WmK-1.
  • Carbon Fibre Composite Sandwich Panels for construction of lightweight structures at $1400 per kg. These have a carbon layup density of 1.52g/cm³ with a yield strength of 2.5 GPa.
  • Fuzed Silica Windows utilising self healing acrylic for impact recovery at $3000 per kg. These retain 1.5 atm of pressure at a thickness of 10mm and span of 2m.

The above represent a specific grade of the listed materials with specifications for other materials and their grades available online. Other grades of materials can be provided by Foundry at similar costs to those listed above.

AV Envision

AV Envision supplies Envision 3D printing facilities which use proprietary magnetised-bed SLS technology to produce one-off metal parts, and imitation natural materials such as wood and leather. Printing facilities have a maximum bed volume of 1m³, with the installation of a complete facility costing $20,000,000.
