Life Support

Stasis Technologies

Stasis Industries develops cylindrical airlocks with minimal (<0.1m³ per cycle) loss of atmosphere to space. These are produced in standard sizes to interface with external ship ports in the following diameters: 0.5m, 3m, 5m, 12m, which cost $2,000,000, $5,000,000,  $8,000,000 and $12,000,000 respectively. The length of each airlock is twice its diameter. Internal bulkhead doors are also available to the same specifications, which are able to utilise Myriad sensors to automatically close when specified conditions are met.

Lunar Mining Company by Atlas

Operating from a collective of small polar settlements, The Lunar Mining Company by Atlas (LMCA) ships nitrogen ($20/kg), hydrogen ($5/kg), oxygen ($24/kg), and water ($4/kg) in pressurised CASSSCs to anywhere in the solar system. They hope that in the future, greater lunar infrastructure will be able to bring these costs down.

Reaching Green

Reaching Green supplies genetically modified seeds for plants which are able to grow in space environments, be immune to disease, and take on any aesthetic modifications. These are offered at a price of $10 per 100 saplings and require refrigeration until planting. Note that if this subcontractor is used, the purchaser is required to sign an agreement that plants will not be used for further propagation, meaning that continuous purchase is required for continuous use.

Lifeline, by Sapien

Lifeline offers medical insurance for off-Earth settlements at $15,000 per year, per person, providing that the site of their claim uses health monitoring to enact preventative measures. An alternative package is also available for $30,000, where individuals are exposed to high-risk situations during their work (e.g. radiation exceeding 15mSv per year, vacuum hazards, or mechanical hazards) due to the requirement for transfer to a specialised hospital in low-Earth-orbit.

Lifeline also provides routine and emergency medical kits for $400 and $800 respectively. Routine medical kits are validated for one year and treat minor injuries for up to 20 people. Emergency medical kits provide stabilisation for moderate traumatic injuries to allow patients to reach a medical centre for further treatment but are depleted after use.

Shelter by Condor

Shelter produces custom protective fabric products including portable emergency shelters and airbags which charge $500 per m3 of enclosed space. They also provide spacesuits containing life support systems, and interconnected Heads-Up Display System (HUDS) which are charged at $200,000 for a hard-shell spacesuit and $100,000 for a softshell spacesuit.
